Camera Operator 20hrs

Integral to our Trackside Channel operation is the digital outside broadcast unit. Through the use of the TAB's outside broadcast fleet, regional teams are responsible for the filming of live race day activities. The TAB is currently recruiting for a Part-time 20 hour per week Camera Operator based out of our Palmerston North Office, but covering Racedays across the region.

As a Camera Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and filming horse races, listening to the OB director on race day for Trackside channels and the Racing Integrity Unit.
- Possess clear, concise and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Preferably have a full New Zealand Class 1 driver's license or Class 2 or 4
- Be able to climb and work in elevated camera towers
- Possess problem-solving skills
- Work as part of a team and independently
- Have good hand-eye coordination skills and good attention to detail

The roles involve working at heights (climbing and working in elevated towers) however, full training will be provided to the successful applicants if required. Experience in television camera operation useful and familiarity with the racing industry and product would be beneficial. However, full training will be provided to help you get up to speed.
**Key requirements**:
You will need to be flexible and also have the ability to travel and stay overnight periodically. This role works across weekdays, weekends, nights, and public holiday work.
