**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
You will be part of the Strategy, Technology and Security Branch within Corporate and Digital Shared Services. As the Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional technology and data solutions that drive government outcomes within the Our Future Services programme reporting to the Head of Digital and Programmes - Immigration.
As a Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be ensuring the successful delivery of Legislative priorities as well as ongoing system enhancements and maintenance activities. Your initial focus will be to understand the environment and deliver on a number of high-profile projects.
You will guide and influence projects in flight, leveraging your extensive commercial and technical knowledge, and exceptional relationship management skills. You will be instrumental in driving excellence through steering committee contributions, meticulous status reporting, and the development of compelling business cases and change requests.
Your leadership will extend to people management, ensuring our project managers are well-supported, trained, and effectively assigned to projects. You will be a key driver in building our team's capability through strategic recruitment and performance management.

- 10+ years of senior project management experience.
- Extensive strategic leadership experience.
- Proven track record of leading large project delivery teams in a matrix environment.
- Strong expertise in governance, compliance, contract, and vendor management.
- Extensive experience running simultaneous programs of work in a central government setting.
- Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills in complex environments.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience as a people leader, building a positive culture and leading project resources is highly desirable.
- Well-networked and respected within the industry.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
