NZQA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Kaitakawaenga Aromatawai a-Motu to lead and support assessment development across New Zealand's secondary education system.

**Mo te turanga | About the role**

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the integrity of NCEA and other national qualifications, helping akonga across Aotearoa achieve meaningful and credible results.

**In this role, you will**:

- Lead the development and marking of national assessment resources
- Provide expert advice on assessment design, standards interpretation, and quality assurance
- Facilitate workshops and training for kaiako and assessors
- Monitor aromatawai and assessment trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

- Proven experience in kaupapa Maori secondary education, preferably with aromatawai, assessment and/or curriculum development expertise
- Strong understanding of NCEA and New Zealand's qualification framework
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple stakeholders
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and te ao Maori perspectives in education
