**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Charge Nurse to work with a group of dedicated professionals in our general adult Intensive Care Unit, the Department of Critical Care Medicine (DCCM). This role is a senior nurse clinical leadership role based at Auckland City Hospital.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

This position will enable an effective practice environment by providing strong clinical and professional nursing leadership, support and coaching of staff; and monitoring standards of practice.
- Advanced clinical practice knowledge - at least 3 years at a senior nursing level with demonstrated leadership experience at this level
- Commitment to providing excellent care
- Strong accountability for resource and budget management
- NZ Nursing Registration and a current annual practicing certificate
- A commitment to bi-culturalism in relation to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Highly proficient skills in critical care nursing practice including clinical, knowledge and ability to provide direction for and evaluate nursing care
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Ability to provide support, coaching and address performance issues

You will have completed a post-graduate ICU qualification and have recent experience in ICU as a senior staff nurse or senior nurse.

This is a permanent position working 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) doing fully rostered 12 hour shifts.
