- Our client is a highly respected, well established civil, commercial and residential earthworks and drainage contracting company. They undertake subdivisions, Earthworks, retaining, drainage and pipeline works among others.
- The purpose of this position is to manage Health and Safety to ensure the safety of everyone in the company. The position is an important link between management, staff and clients. It involves co-ordinating with all staff, sub-contractors and clients to ensure all works are carried out safely to all legislations and standards.
- They require a strong communicator with a solid Health and Safety background within construction to continue building a robust H&S platform. Exposure to some form of civil projects is in your past experience is very important in this position, however we will consider other forms of construction. Attitude, personality and ability to get buy in from staff on the ground is key, along with your dynamic organisational and communication skills
- This is a permanent part time position of 3 days per week.
- Based out of the Mount Maunganui office this position covers the Bay of Plenty so you will access to a company pool vehicle as and when required.
- To be successful in this role you must possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety
- Ideally previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in operating at a strategic level to work as a trusted business partner with managers
- The ability to build relationships at all levels
- Consulting and negotiating skills
