We are looking for a dedicated **Duty Manager** to lead our team, oversee daily store operations, and uphold our high service standards.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 1 year work experience in a retail store or a level 4 or above qualification in business
- A valid Manager’s Certificate.

Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Store Operations & Coordination**: Oversee daily store functions, ensuring smooth business operations, organized layouts, and proper system functionality. Manage opening and closing procedures, securing the premises as needed.
- **Customer Service Excellence**: Provide outstanding service, assist customers with product selection, address inquiries and complaints, and uphold high service standards.
- **Staff Management & Leadership**: Supervise, train, and mentor team members, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- **Staff Scheduling & Coverage**: Develop and manage rosters to ensure adequate staffing, especially during peak hours, while handling shift adjustments as needed.
- **Cash Handling & Financial Management**: Process payments, balance registers, manage financial records, oversee banking, and ensure accurate transactions.
- **Inventory & Stock Control**: Monitor stock levels, place orders, receive deliveries, and conduct regular stock checks to minimize discrepancies and maintain product availability.
- **Sales Strategy & Profitability**: Implement promotional strategies, track sales performance, and optimize product selection to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
- **Marketing & Promotions**: Execute in-store promotions, advertising, and customer engagement strategies to drive sales.
- **Product Mix & Merchandising**: Curate a well-balanced product range, maintain visually appealing displays, and align stock with customer preferences and market trends.
- **Compliance & Responsible Alcohol Service**: Enforce liquor licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and store policies. Ensure all staff follow ID verification procedures and responsible service requirements.
- **Administrative Duties & Reporting**: Prepare sales and operational reports, track inventory discrepancies, and assist the owner with financial and business management tasks.
- **Store Cleanliness & Safety**: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store, ensuring compliance with hygiene and workplace safety standards.
- **Security & Risk Management**: Implement security measures, including proper opening and closing procedures, ID verification, and loss prevention strategies.
- **Multitasking & Composure Under Pressure**: Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, maintaining efficiency and service quality during high-demand periods.
- **Learning & Knowledge Development**: Stay informed on liquor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance store operations and compliance.
- **Other Duties**:Perform any additional tasks relevant to the job specification as instructed by the owner/director.
