As Northland's leading garden retailer and due to continued outstanding growth we are looking for an experienced garden assistant with green fingers and a customer focused attitude to join our highly regarded Garden department. Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard or you may have undertaken horticultural training - either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants, along with all the dry goods and hardware, whether it's fertilisers and pest control or gardening gloves and a wheel barrow. For this role you MUST have proven customer service experience and be knowledgeable in the sale of both green and dry garden goods To fit into our team, you will have: - Enthusiasm and team spirit - Good communication skills - A passion for customer service excellence - A strong knowledge of plants and horticultural products - Good time management - A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible. - Thrive on being very busy - Previous experience in a garden centre is an advantage You must be very fit and energetic as heavy lifting is a key part of the role.
