**Te Tūranga - The Opportunity**:
We’re looking for a Chief Audio Officer who will have an immediate high impact. You’ll bring extensive audio leadership experience and an ambition to grow audiences on live radio, on-demand and digital platforms. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll work across the organisation, collaborating with the wider executive team, to ensure our audio offering continues to evolve, connect and inspire New Zealanders.

**Te Mahi - About the job**:
You’ll be responsible for making sure our programming is relevant, topical and engaging, working with our on-air talent, wider RNZ teams and Tumu Māori, ensuring the audio strategy aligns with our Charter to create positive change for our audience and kaimahi.

You’ll collaborate widely across RNZ to help us stay at the forefront of innovation. Leading by example and with purpose, you’ll champion high standards, nurture a strong culture, and support your teams in bringing to life the voices and stories that really matter to Aotearoa.

**Ōu Pūkenga - About You**:
You’ll bring a depth of experience in audio from live listening to digital and on-demand, along with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams over a number of years at a senior to executive level.

You’ll understand what it takes to grow audience trust and engagement in a competitive media environment, and you’ll be as comfortable with strategic business planning as you are with the more creative side of content.

We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, decisive and committed to the role of public media. A strong sense of purpose, sound judgment, and a love of audio storytelling are a must.

Some of the experience we are looking for:

- Proven success leading audio brands and teams at a senior level
- Deep expertise in live broadcast and digital audio content
- Demonstrated ability to grow audiences in a competitive market
- Proven capability in programming, production and branding.
