**He aha te mahi? What's the role?**:
The Implementation Specialist is part of the Cool Chain team, whose purpose is to provide early season kiwifruit to the markets in a ‘Ready to Retail’ state by conditioning the fruit during the voyage phase within the Supply Chain. Cool Chain also provide other services in storage and handling of cargo in risk management, compliance, monitoring equipment, performance assessments, best practice, and trials.
Cool Chains busiest period is March through to July when we are running the conditioning program. The Implementation Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the Cool Chain Team with the conditioning program in analysing and advising on the setting of cargo conditions. Also providing analysis and reporting on Cool Chains other functions and striving to improve performance.
The demand for analysis and interpreting information close to time data is populated during the season is particularly high during the conditioning program (March - July).
This is an interesting role of analysing, implementing changes to cargo conditions, running, and creating reports and having an input into technical improvements in Cool Chain.
The core responsibilities of the role will include;
- Provide analytical reports on key control points within the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the conditioning program by analysing fruit characteristics, fruit performance and cargo conditions so the correct operational activities are implemented.
- Support relationships with external service providers where required.
- Develop and manage trial schedules throughout the season, and monitor, analyse and report on trial progress and results.
- Generate standard analytical reporting and one-off analyses on a required basis. Assist with other projects from time to time; this may involve activities outside the office, in packhouses and coolstores.**Ko wai koe? Who are you?**:
You will meet the following selection criteria:
- Tertiary education in biological sciences, engineering or related, would be advantageous.
- Source data from relevant systems (e.g. SQL Servers, Data Lakes, SAP, Databricks) for analytical needs.
- Experience mapping, developing, and creating Power BI reports that are well designed to inform different levels of the organisation.
- Solid experience with Excel and stat software (e.g. JMP and R Studio) for creating ad hoc reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of pre and post-harvest kiwifruit physiology and production systems would be advantageous.
- Flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours during the conditioning period (March - July). Current driver’s license.**He aha e tika ai a Zespri? Why Zespri?**:
