We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Cloud Platform Engineer Lead to join our team

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

You will own the end-to-end operations lifecycle of Cloud related platforms to ensure that Auckland Transport meets and exceeds both SLA requirements and customer expectations.

You will ensure efficient and effective technical support services with a focus on automation and reduced cost of delivery and develop collaborative relationships between functional teams in order to drive the digital transformation and corporate strategy. You will be an enabler of exceptional customer experience and transport outcomes supporting the AT strategic objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the cloud platforms are running to optimised cost and efficiency. Manage the timely implementation of backlogs of work including patching, security releases etc
- Management of any incidents or events needing management,
- Lead the team in the planning, build and operations of IT solutions and the associated testing, automation
- Manage the maintenance of technology to ensure it is scalable, secure, available, measurable, supportable and consistently delivering in line with agreed Service Level Objectives/Agreements.
- Analyse operational performance, identify problem areas, anticipate needs and implement change to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

With strong leadership skills, you will have high technical literacy, creativity and time management skills. You bring relevant tertiary qualification and have solid organisational skills, including attention to detail. You'll be an exceptional communicator with a customer centric approach and be able to build effective relationships with stakeholders and have proven experience in managing third party suppliers.

You will be confident in challenging the status quo in order to strive for performance improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or significant proven experience in a similar role
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a large complex organisation.
