We are looking to recruit a store manager for our salon business in Christchurch

**Job duties may include**:
Planning, implementing the advertisement and marketing policies, and ad campaigns

Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all clients.

Supervise and lead a team of hairdressers and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and support, and manage scheduling and rosters.

Responsible for all staffing matters including Staff recruitment, retention and training.

Set up budgets and endeavour to operate within the budgets

Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Oversee cash handling, daily sales reports, and banking procedures.

Keeping track of the industry trends and updating services and prices accordingly

Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.

Ensure all health and safety, hygiene, and grooming standards are strictly followed.

**Skills and experience for the role;**

Proven at least two years of experience in a management role or

a relevant Diploma Qualification/overseas equivalent

(barber shop or retail preferred).

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of barbering services and industry trends is an advantage.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.

Financial and administrative knowledge (e.g., cashier, budgeting, scheduling).

Drug and criminal history check may be required

Minimum 30 hours a week.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
