We are searching for a Projects & Fixed Assets specialist to join our Capital & Fixed Assets team. This role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support activities related to project accounting finance management and asset management within our organisation. We offer the opportunity to be part of a wider supportive team of dedicated and experienced professionals.

You will be part of a larger (approximately 45 people) Finance Operations function. We manage financial systems, processes and controls to ensure overall finance objectives are delivered effectively and efficiently, and support other teams within the organisation to meet overall finance goals.

Mōu | About you
This role requires strong people skills, be confident to interface across all services at Waikato district, have good technical skills to ensure project & fixed assets accounting is delivered in an accurate and timely manner. The successful applicant will be competent working with excel and have experience with large integrated accounting systems. This person will bring a proven skills base for attention to detail and outcome accuracy, with good communication skills. They will be able to identify and implement process improvement and accounting control improvements on an ongoing basis. This person will also have the technical ability to work effectively within the wider finance team
