**Job Summary**

We are looking for Six Fulltime Qualified Automotive Spray Painters / Refinish Technicians to help us take our business to the next level in the automotive panel & refinish environment. We have great careerpotentials and you will be an integral part of our growth strategy with plenty of opportunities for you to shine in full function spray painter duties. Your focus will be on delivering quality paint work - car body and undercarriage.

This is skilled work in refinishing and painting automotive equipment. The automotive spray painter generally receives work assignments from a shop foreman and must independently determine work methods in accordance with standard automotive painting practices. A working knowledge of the standard methods and practices of automotive painting and of the materials and methods used in painting or refinishing is required. Skills in the use and operation of automotive painting equipment and the ability to complete layouts and paints signs including freehand lettering are needed.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Prepares paint to desired colour and consistency
- Prepares spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray gun
- Cleans vehicle to be painted
- Applies decals to machinery and trucks
- Paints trailers, and other related equipment
- Maintains stock levels of all items required for the completion of duties
- Manages OH&S and environmental hazards in the paint bay and workplace
- Act and represent the Company in a professional and ethical manner at all times
- Understand each customers quality expectations
- Clean and detail vehicles after repairs are complete
- Maintain all tools and equipment used in your area
- Follow maintenance schedule and report any repairs necessary
- Remove objects on the ground in the detail area and clean work area thoroughly
- Assist in emptying all rubbish bins into the large dumpsters
- Able to understand directions and complete job tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all workers
- Carrying out all reasonable instructions from your Line Manager
- Follow established cleaning and detail procedures
- 2-3 years of experience in the Automotive Spray-painting Industry
- Class 1 Full Drivers License essential
- Clear English communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and requirements
