**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

The Health Intelligence and Analytics team is looking for a Health Insights Analyst to deliver analytics, modelling and insights to transform the health system. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to a high profile transformation and transition programme by influencing strategic commissioning choices through data and evidence. You will be analysing rich data sets to solve complex problems, modelling the current state and pose scenarios for the future, and producing insights that guide strategic decision making. In particular, you will identify opportunities to improve health outcomes for all and, in particular, achieve equity for Māori, Pacific and disabled people.

**Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team**

The Health Intelligence and Analytics team is part of the Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate. We are a nationally recognised team for generating high quality analytics that supports commissioning to transform the health system to achieve equity and improve health outcomes. Our efforts are concentrated on predictive and prescriptive analytics and by taking a people and place-based approach to analytics. The team comprises a mix of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills and experiences and thrive in an environment that challenges the status quo through disruptive analytics and insights.

**Moū - About you**

This role requires someone who can identify problems and develop creative solutions, work with and integrate large and complex datasets, model the current state and pose scenarios for the future, build arguments and stories informed by strong analytics that drive new perspectives, and produce insights that translate numbers into strategic decisions and investment. You will be adaptable and flexible in nature to navigate and thrive in an evolving environment and confident in your problem solving abilities.
