Te Au Reka represents the opportunity of a lifetime, making a profound difference to those who work in, and interact with, courts and tribunals. This new digital case management system will help modernise the administration of justice in Aotearoa New Zealand. It will replace highly manual, time-consuming, paper-based processes, transforming the way people access and experience justice in New Zealand.

**Principal Advisor - Te Au Reka Change and Process Team**
Help shape the future of digital services in our courts and tribunals

We're looking for a Principal Advisor to join the **Te Au Reka Change and Process team**, playing a central role in the delivery of transformational change across Aotearoa's courts and tribunals.

As Principal Advisor, you will lead the design and co-delivery of change initiatives to ensure **Te Au Reka** meets operational needs - now and in the future. You'll bring strategic thinking, a people-centred approach, and the ability to influence across a complex programme of work.

In this role, you'll:

- Build strong relationships across Te Au Reka and the wider Ministry.
- Shape and contribute to change, engagement, and communication strategies.
- Support the courts and Ministry with pragmatic, people-first solutions.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

We're looking for someone with:

- A proven track record in delivering change in complex, ambiguous environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of courts, tribunals, and Ministry operations (or the ability to rapidly build it)

You'll be part of a passionate team committed to improving the experience of our people, communities, and whānau interacting with the justice system.

**To be successful in this role, you'll bring**:

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience engaging effectively with people at all levels, including senior leaders and frontline staff.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Experience working in a project or programme environment with multiple workstreams and competing priorities.

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**

The appointing salary for this role is between $129,129 and $179,192 based on skills and experience.
