**About the role**

As a Content Team Lead, you'll be the line manager of a team of content writers. Your team will be responsible for creating elegant, easy-to-understand online copy to enhance user experience, brand, and tone. A lot of the content and topics are highly technical and require a strong technical aptitude, the ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools, and strong communication skills. This role offers the chance to take on a hands-on leadership position in crafting a comprehensive platform, designed for a broad user base. Part of a global team, you will work with people across different time zones and report to the Design and Content Manager.

You’ll make an impact by:

- Managing a team of content writers to deliver engaging and easy-to-understand digital content
- Working closely with designers, reviewing and providing feedback on user journeys and appropriate content for each context
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Engineers and QA to ensure all requirements are satisfied
- Owning and maintaining our content strategy, style guide, and tone of voice
- Enhancing content operations by implementing standardised workflows and tools to boost scalability and efficiency
- Uploading and publishing content through our Content Management System
- Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging digital technologies
- Suggesting forward-thinking methods to amplify the impact of our digital communication efforts

Please note that we run an asynchronous, hybrid-remote model at MEGA, and this role may require early-morning or late-night availability as you work alongside staff in different time zones.

**About you**

You also have:

- Five or more years of commercial content writing experience, with previous leadership experience preferred
- Proven experience in UX writing and microcopy
- The ability to quickly analyse and synthesise complex content; experience writing about technical or complex topics
- Excellent proofreading skills
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Ability to take initiative and a proactive "can do" attitude
- Effective task management and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
- Strong collaborative focus; a team player, willing to go the extra mile to produce quality work and meet deadlines
- Experience using tone of voice and style guides
- Experience working with tools such as Figma, Jira, Confluence, WordPress would be a plus
- Localisation experience would be a plus

**Qualifications**

Ideally, you hold a tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, marketing or similar.
