**Position **_Rugby Manager, Women’s and Girls_, North Harbour Rugby Union
(“NHRU”)
**Reports to (title) **_Head of Rugby Engagement and Participation**Direct reports **As per NHRU organisational chart
**Functional relationships with **Union staff; NZRU staff; The Blues; other Provincial Unions; Mitre 10
Cup management team; Clubs; schools; other stakeholders.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The _Rugby Manager, Women’s and Girls_, is accountable for growing and maximising the engagement and
participation of Women’s Rugby in the region and the growth of new groups and new participants.

women’s Rugby in region from Primary schools, Intermediate,
Secondary Schools and Clubs
- Coordinate and align other harbour staff around the
development pathways to maximise the growth and
development of identified individuals and groups.
- Assist with all aspects of the delivery of the Women’s
representative teams as part of the Harbour Rugby community
plan
**Relationship and Stakeholder **- Work cross functionally with other organisations to ensure
**Management **Harbour Rugby is well respected
- Work closely and collaborate with key intermediaries i.e. that
support Women’s Rugby
**Research and Innovation **- Research and investigate other forms of rugby engagement and
participation
- Successfully implement and manage new programs that attempt
to engage and develop traditional non participants
**Administration and Operational **- Assist with Community programmes as required
- which would
**Management **include various community tournaments
- Preparation of planning and reporting documentation as
required.
