We promote the joy of learning and working together to encourage tamariki to develop their interests, imagination and individuality. The Centre is licensed for 49 tamariki - 19 under 2s and 30 over 2.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated registered **ECE or Primary qualified Teacher **to inspire and be part of a great team who is passionate about delivering and maintaining a high standard to education and care for our tamariki at the YMCA Taranaki Childcare Centre. **This role is a permanent role for 20-30 hours per week**, with rostered hours between 7.00 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Our Centre has opted in to Pay Parity.

We want a creative and nurturing person who will enjoy learning, laughing and playing alongside our tamariki and has the following attributes:

- Provisionally or fully registered teacher, who is Primary or ECE qualified.
- A calm and caring nature.
- Collaborative team player and a great role model.
- Ability to inspire and motivate children.
- A passion for early childhood education and delivering high quality education and care.
- Strong understanding of programme planning, learning stories, self-review and assessment.
- Good knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whariki curriculum and compliance.
- Energetic and a sense of humour.
- An excellent communicator (written and verbal).
- Innovative and demonstrates initiative.
- First Aid Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
