We’re a dynamic and expanding company with a passionate team of Finance professionals who play a key role in driving our success. We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our close-knit finance team and make an impact.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of key processes and provide vital support across the finance function.

**In this role, you will**:

- Lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) function and support Accounts Payable (AP)
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the debtor system
- Support the AP lead with the day-to-day management of accounts payable, ensuring all documents are correctly processed and creditors are paid correctly and on time
- Provide training and support to the business with regards to AP and AR processes and system queries
- Provide suggestions and insight into process and system improvement projects related to the financial accounting function
- Provide support to fellow Finance team members, being the back-up and leave cover for team members as required.

**To succeed in this role, you will bring**:

- Working towards, or Qualified Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (or equivalent) OR have extensive experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable
- Proactive with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Strong Excel and systems proficiency
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with financial and non-financial team members
- You will be adaptable, accurate, have an eye for improvement and detail, and be highly efficient in your work
