Wormald are the leading fire protection specialists in New Zealand, we have been protecting people and property here for over 125 years and enjoy a reputation as providing the most capable and reliable safety products and services nationwide.
We are currently looking for a Branch Manager to join our Wellington Branch.
What you will do:
This position will be responsible for providing overall business leadership to achieve all the planned objectives for the Wellington Service and Projects (Retrofit and Install) Branch.
How you will do it:
- **Strategic Planning**: plan and deploy strategies to achieve sustainable growth in business in tandem with overall corporation objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Develop annual branch plan for Service and Projects.
- Implementing corporate strategies, to successfully achieve strategic objectives.
- Sales management - in association with the NZ Sales Manager - Projects, ensure the growth of the branch through sales growth.
- **Financial Excellence**: lead team members to achieve excellence in operations to achieve optimum profit and exceed customer satisfaction NPS.
- Development and implementation of branch budgets in line with company goals and strategic objectives, and effective communication of those plans to the team.
- Monthly financial forecasts and reporting.
- Asset management - including Accounts Receivable reduction and Accounts Payable maximization.
- Achieve financial objectives including sales secured, EBIT and Return on Investment.
- **Customer Satisfaction**: leverage customer feedback and relationships to align the Service delivery to their needs and satisfaction levels.
- Implementing processes to ensure client relationships are developed and maintained, managing individual client relationships where necessary.
- Customer satisfaction target NPS.
- **Operational Excellence**: develop and ensure compliance to business processes to enable effective and productive operations
- Ensure business processes and controls are in place to ensure efficient and effective running of operations.
- Ensure financial controls are in place.
- Measure results of staff regularly.
- Analyse problem areas and take corrective actions as necessary.
- **Service sales and planning**: strategize and lead service and installs sales to meet and exceed company’s growth targets
- Define sales plans / opportunities and implement strategies to achieve the secured target for the Service business
- Sales management - in association with the NZ Sales Manager - Projects, ensure the growth of the branch through sales growth
- Responsible for delivering secured plan, YoY growth and GM% in line with assigned metrics
- **Resource Planning**: plan and ensure the adequacy of resources (manpower, tools etc) to enable the branch to meet planned objectives
- Resource planning, development and management.
- Develop existing staff through training needs assessment and development planning.
- Building and leading a professional team and being responsible for associated reward, recognition, development and training programs for all reports in line with company policy and practice goals and strategic objectives, and effective communication of those plans to the team.
- Promoting effective communication throughout the Branch and resolving any problems and conflicts that arise.
- **Compliance**: 100% compliance to Johnson Controls Safety Health & Environment Management System (SHEMS)
- Ensuring compliance with all JCAPL policies and procedures.
- Ethics Compliance - ensuring the Branch complies with all aspects of the JCI Ethics Policy.
- EHS & Q Compliance
**What we look for**:
- Background in business or engineering (tertiary qualification ideal) and relevant industry experience of 5 - 10 years.
- Service industry experience with expertise in technical services.
- Drives for results. Must have proven financial management track record having demonstrated successful profitable sales growth, and balanced performance in customer satisfaction, delivery, and employee development and engagement.
