Service Foods is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for the Produce Branch at Grenada North, Wellington. This role will be supporting our store manager in stock inventory, rotation and quality control. Returning of crates, pallets and general day to day maintenance of the branch. You will have some hands on experience in operations/logistics, wanting to make a difference in a progressive company.

The job:

- Full time, permanent role
- Location: Jamaica Drive, Grenada North
- Hours: Monday to Friday (4.00 am to 1.00 pm), some Saturday hours required
- Competitive pay package

Key responsibilities:
We are small team so will be a very hands on role and will be required where needed. The role also entails:

- Ensuring high level of quality control
- Very hands on role, this will include packing and physical work
- Assisting night supervisor to ensure trucks are leaving the warehouse on time
- General day to day up keep of the Warehouse
- Stock management and rotation
- Competent computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Forklift license is required
- Fresh produce knowledge an advantage but not necessary
- A good passion for customers

About you: You will be an all-rounder who can manage the site and work with team collectively to get the job done. You will ideally have
- Competent computer skills
- Forklift licence or experience
- Good understanding and knowledge of fresh produce.
- A great passion for customer service and a good team attitude Previous NZ experience and/or knowledge in the produce warehouse or food industry is beneficial. There is a huge opportunity for you to upskill yourself on the job and move up in your career.

We employ around 800 team members, operate over 200 trucks and have 16 strategically placed branches across New Zealand. We ensure that our service remains second to none.
