Dedicated to the delivery of public health care, Waitemata is committed to the "best care for everyone - to the patient, their family/Whanau, the community and Iwi, and the healthcare workforce. Waiatarau is a mental health inpatient unit located on the grounds of Waitakere Hospital. The unit as a whole comprises 8 intensive care beds and 24 open ward beds. Mental Health inpatient units are essentially national resources, but all efforts are made to ensure clients from the West Auckland area that need our services are accommodated at Waiatarau. **About the role** We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to work alongside service users and families to develop awareness and knowledge of mental illness and to provide advice and support in regard to social and legal issues. You should have a commitment to personal and professional development.
