**Clinical leadership is different at Ryman - you have more respect and appreciation, more responsibility, and plenty of opportunities to shine** - Lead a team dedicated to delivering high-quality care for our residents - Rewarding salary, additional leave bonuses, and great team benefit discounts - Make a real difference in the lives of our residents while maintaining a healthy work-life balance **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Special Care Unit at Julia Wallace Retirement Village located in Palmerston North.** The role includes working Tuesday to Saturday, 0800 - 1630 with a shared on-call component.** - As the Special Care _Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:_ - Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always _"good enough for mum and dad"_ - Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team - Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the unit - Actively engage with resident's families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards - Ensure your team embrace a range of beliefs, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi - Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments - Intermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families - Dedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members - Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust - Participate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as one - Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager **About You** - To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:_ - A current APC (annual practicing certificate) - interRAI training or willingness to gain competency - Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader - The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team - Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents - Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager **About Ryman Healthcare** At Ryman, we believe the measure of a full life is one that gets richer with age.
