Showrooms Zone Leader Mitre 10 Mega Te Rapa

Mitre 10 Mega Hamilton is a dynamic and fast-paced company, with a vision to provide great quality products and the best value and expertise to enable our customers to have an affordable and easy DIY experience. We are currently seeking Zone Leader at our Mitre 10 MEGA Te Rapa store, who has prior experience within a "Big Box" format store. The role is based in our Showrooms area and requires a Zone Leader who has proven experience in solid people and operational management. A background/interest in 'Showrooms' which consists of Kitchen, Plumbing, Bathrooms & Flooring would be advantageous. Reporting to the Retail Manager you will be responsible for maximizing sales and profit through delivering excellent staff leadership, merchandising, stock control and customer service. **This will see you taking accountability for**: - Ensuring customers are the number one priority, receiving the high standard of service they deserve; - Promoting a team culture that encourages a positive working environment; - Taking on responsibility for on-the-floor stock, displays, point-of-sale and general standards within your department; - Management of staff including; staff rostering, training & development, recruitment, onboarding and employment relations; - Maximizing sales and profits within the zone, ensuring sales targets are being met; - Duty management functions; - Contributing to the overall success of the store by actively supporting health & safety, loss prevention initiatives & process; and - Other duties as required. **We are looking for people who have**: - Demonstrated strong people and operational management - Ability to work as part of a team, and provide direction and leadership; - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to think ahead and offer innovative solutions; - A passion for customer service excellence; - Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills - Flexibility & adaptability - Intermediate computer skills; and - Ability to manage a varied and busy workload. **What in it for you**: This role offers you the opportunity to be an integral part of a proudly Kiwi-owned and operated independent retail business. - We offer industry leading learning and development framework - Opportunities to grow your career - A generous staff purchase scheme - All the tools required to perform the role - A paid day off on your Birthday This role is for 42.5 hours per week worked Sunday to Thursday.
