**What you will be doing**

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and safety conscious operator to join our Heavy Plate Line crew in the Hot Strip Mill.

While reporting to the shift supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining our exceptional product standards and the continued smooth running of our operations, this is a permanent full-time position.

The successful applicant will undergo training to safely operate the plant and equipment within the Heavy Plate Line area.

The normal working hours for this position are 42 hours per week (12 hour / 4 shift rotating pattern) however to ensure that operational requirements are met, you may be required to work additional hours when needed.

**What you will bring to the role**

Along with the ability to learn the required skills on the job and produce high quality work in a timely manner, the successful applicants will need to have:

- A willingness to undertake manual handling work, a reasonable level of physical fitness is required
- People with great communication skills - verbal and written
- Excellent computer literacy
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Positive attitude, ability, and willingness to take ownership of your work
- Proven good attendance and work history
- Experience operating forklifts and/or cranes would be an advantage
