We are looking for a **Fitter Turner **to join a local engineering firm. This company specialise in the telecommunications and electricity industries They complete all fabrication and fitting in their workshop. This position will be solely based in their Hornby workshop.

This is a newly created position due to a new ongoing project.

**Key tasks**:

- Read and understand all drawings
- Setting and operating manual lathe and milling machines
- Mechanical fitting
- Working to tight deadlines

**Skills & attributes required**:

- Some training provided but a minimum of 1 year experience in general engineering workshop is required
- Ideally have operated a manual lathe or mill
- Ability to work in a team or unsupervised to complete a task from start to finish
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
