**Platform Safety Supervisor**:

- Location: Devonport, NZ, 624- Onsite or Hybrid: OnSite**About the role**

We are looking for **Platform Safety Supervisors** to join the Platform Safety Compliance team in **_Devonport, Auckland_**.

As part of our highly skilled team, you will be based onboard ships in maintenance. You will be integral to ensuring Safe Systems of Work are adhered to at all times.

**Your duties will include**
- Monitor platform work activities identifying potential hazards and intervening, when necessary,
- Liaise with workers to help identify safer ways to conduct their work,
- Conduct audits of Safe Systems of Work, verifying zero energy in isolated systems (Electrical or Mechanical).
- Act as a liaison between the platform and the HSEQ team when advice is required.
- Actively promote a health and safety culture within the organisation to reduce incident and injury, and continuously drive safety improvement, awareness and belief in a healthy and safe work environment.
- Take ownership of problems that arise and manage until resolved (may include minor project management work).
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently to practically implement proposed improvements.
- Present a positive attitude and meaningfully contribute within a team environment.

**About you**
- Have a technical background, holding a relevant Engineering/Electrical Qualification.
- Have hands-on experience of Safe Systems of Work processes and procedures, ideally with 10 years’ experience in high-risk industries such as maritime/oil and gas/mining sector.
- Have experience managing Lock Out Tag Out isolation procedures and high-risk activities such as confined space, hot work and working at height.
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills as well as the ability to collaborate.
