Reel in the opportunity of a lifetime as our Butchery/Seafood 2IC and become the co-captain of our department’s success story.

We are seeking a full-time dynamic and experienced Butchery/Seafood 2IC (Second-in-Command) to join our team. As the 2IC, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Butchery/Seafood Manager in the day-to-day operations of our seafood department. You'll contribute to delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with the Butchery/Seafood Manager to oversee the department's operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, and driving customer service.
- Provide leadership, support, and specialist knowledge to the team, fostering a culture of excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Lead on-job training and development of seafood/butchery.
- Department staff as needed.
- Monitor seafood/butchery.
- Inventory levels and ensure product quality and freshness.
- Manage the department merchandising and ensure that displays are attractive and well-stocked.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding products in a professional and friendly manner.
- Food Safety, you will need to be able to follow our Food Safety plan.
- You will need to complete all required paperwork and follow all of the procedures included in the plan.
- Housekeeping will be a big part of this role; our revamped department needs to be kept in a clean and hygienic state at all times.
- Assist with administrative tasks and reporting related to the department.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a Butchery/Seafood department.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the best seafood department standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment.
- Good computer skills.
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
