An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative nurse for the role of Nurse Specialist in the Starship Paediatric Rheumatology service.

The Starship Paediatric Rheumatology service is primarily an outpatient service that sees patients in the outpatient clinics at Starship and outreach clinics in Regional centres. Tamariki are also admitted for treatment and diagnostics in the Day Stay Unit. The service is part of the New Zealand Paediatric Rheumatology Service and provides specialised care for children and young people with autoimmune and autoinflammatory conditions in the Northern District and the upper North Island.

The Nurse Specialist works in a Multi-Disciplinary Team, developing specialist knowledge of complex conditions which underpins the role. You will be supported to be an expert in assessment skills, diagnostic reasoning, monitoring of dynamic symptoms and knowledge of management options. Case co-ordination in this role enables health system navigation for whānau and a tamariki to thrive, living their best life.

**To be successful you will**:

- Have NZ Nursing Registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Have Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty nursing practice
- Have Project management experience
- Have minimum level 4 practice
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing professional development issues
- Have a Masters degree in nursing or health related area (Desired)
- Have at least 5 years of nursing experience (Desired)
