**About the role**
We’re seeking an experienced HR professional to join us on a fixed-term contract for 6 months and bring immediate value to our team. This role is perfect for someone who is keen to develop into a HR Business Partner role and who can hit the ground running, provide trusted HR advice and support our North Island portfolio during a key period.
Based at our Māngere and/or Pokeno site, you’ll work alongside our Safety, People & Culture team and partner closely with the HR Business Partner to deliver HR solutions, support leaders and help drive initiatives that strengthen culture and performance.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide HR advice and guidance with a people-first focus.
- Support HR activities and processes including performance management and disciplinary matters.
- Drive workforce planning and align HR strategies with business goals.
- Partner with the HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition team to support end-to-end recruitment.
- Build capability in people leaders, enabling them to make effective decisions.
- Engage in HR activities that drive a positive, development-focused workplace.
**Skills and experience**
The ideal person is proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented and comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels while keeping a people-first mindset. You’ll be confident providing advice across all aspects of HR and skilled at building strong relationships quickly.
- Previous experience in an HR Advisory or generalist HR role will be essential. A minimum of 5 years advisory experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of the Employment Relations Act, Privacy Act and other relevant employment legislation.
- Demonstrated experience managing HR processes, including performance management and investigations.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to persuade and influence at all levels up to senior level to obtain optimal outcomes.
- Sound writing skills and the ability to write for specific audiences, and confident presentation and training delivery skills.
