About the role
The NZ Police Information and Communications Technology Business Unit are seeking to appoint a Senior Applications Support Analyst, in the MyPolice Technology Operations group, based at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Porirua.
A position has become available focused on supporting the MyPolice Application suite. The MyPolice suite includes:
- SAP for managing Payroll, HR and Finance
- Kronos for managing workforce scheduling
- SAP Success Factors mor managing training and Learning at Police
My Police is about to undergo a technology transformation, and there will opportunity to be involved in this transformation from the ground up.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Use SAP FI/CO skills to interpret business requirements and complete functional configuration.
- Consult with Business teams on requested solutions - and develop appropriate implementation plans to deliver required business outcomes.
- Vendor Management - Leads and collaborates with third party suppliers and ensure that their performance and provision of support services and quality is in line with ICT expectations and enables us to meet or exceed service levels.
- Teamwork - Contributes to the setting and achievement of team goals, objectives, and standards
- Provides back-up support and cover for other team members.
- Relationship Management - Develops and maintains effective working relationships and communication networks with relevant Police staff, partner organizations and other government agencies
- Applies or oversees Technical Support as defined in the appropriate service level agreement, including coordination and escalation across other support teams and Business Units (Finance and HR).
- Complies and improves ICT support processes, tools and documentation.

This is a dynamic and challenging position, and the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience proactively leading and facilitating activities between business stakeholders, vendors/partners and other ICT teams to implement complex end-to-end technology solutions using a mixture of SAFe & waterfall methodologies
- Excellent Payroll/Finance business knowledge gained through previous roles with an operational payroll/finance background
- Full lifecycle implementation and configuration experience of an SAP Payroll, HCM/Employee Central or Finance solution
- Excellent communication skills and a strong stakeholder management mindset
- Excellent ER business knowledge gained through previous roles with an operational ER/HR background
- Ability to write technical documentation clearly and precisely.
- Works well in a team environment (inclusive of SME’s and Vendors).
- Analytical skills in delivering what is fit for purpose for NZ Police.
- Being adaptable with willingness to embrace change is essential.
- Being a catalyst for business change and continual improvement.
