- Salary range $58,175 - $68,380 plus Kiwisaver Tēnei tūranga - About the Role: We have a great opportunity for a PA/Team Administrator to provide efficient and effective administration support to managers and teams within the Building System Performance branch at MBIE. You will report to the Manager, System Design and Implementation and will be based in Christchurch.
**The Personal Assistant/Team Administrator will be**:
- Welcoming and helping onboard new team members into the Christchurch office
- Coordinating meetings, calendars and events for your manager and team members.
- Supporting team members with various activities, including travel arrangements and setting up interview panels.
- Ensuring invoices and contract expenditure is tracked, monitored and reported on.
- Helping teams with access to IT equipment and working with other admin staff to ensure effective operation of the branch as a whole.
- Maintaining and filing personnel information.
- Processing expense claims.
- Supporting with organising team and branch activities for the Christchurch office. About you: You will have strong relationship management and organisational skills to process assigned tasks and resolve issues. You will be supported by a great team and network to help you get up to speed and thrive in this role.
You might be an experienced PA or team administrator, or you might be a recent graduate with a desire to work for a diverse government organisation and grow a career in government.
Whatever your background you must have passion, enthusiasm, energy and the drive to succeed. We are looking for someone who is flexible and agile with a positive, proactive approach to their work ensuring tasks are completed to a high level of detail.

**To be successful in this role you will bring**:
- Demonstrated ability to respond to changes in demands and priorities.
- Ability to be discreet (due to access to sensitive HR information).
- Knowledge of administration systems and processes.
- Sound relationship management skills.
- Good standard of computer literacy and word processing.
- Willingness to work in a flexible and dynamic environment.
You will also have your finger on the pulse of team activities, collaborating internally and externally to make things happen
**About our team**: The System Design and Implementation team sits in the Building System Performance branch in MBIE. We are responsible for implementation, sector engagement, guidance and operational policy for the building regulatory system. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading implementation work for new policies, including designing and developing relevant implementation and operational policy material (such as guidance documents).
- Contributing design thinking to policy and technical team’s regulation development work or technical documents.
- Ensuring a seamless implementation and transition to delivery and operational teams.
- Management of building system staff attendance at events, conferences and trade shows. Ways of working: We provide a wide range of flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance including flexible working hours and some days working from home.
