**About the role - Four focus areas**
- Deliver great quality statutory and corporate planning and accountability reports and documents, enabling Council to unify and align activities across functions.
- Develop and manage Council’s performance framework - so we get to really know the best measures and understand progress in delivering our ambitions, the community outcomes, priorities, and understand value and benefits.
- Develop Council’s strategic framework - the big picture, so we are integrated, and support our individual strategies -help shape Council delivery, partnerships, and progress within the district. This will be exciting
- Implement and improve Council’s risk, procurement, and H & S practice across Council
- ensuring these functions help meet wider objectives.

You will have four wise and skilled colleagues in your team to assist you with your work

**What about you?**
You will know about strategic reporting frameworks having worked with these at a senior level for several years - translating strategic objectives into delivery requirements and effective performance management. You will have the flair, courage, and foresight to pull this together.

You will also demonstrate an understanding of policy development, corporate planning, data analytics and integration

You are a natural influencer in an organisation; by listening to others and giving clarity to complex matters. You will also have experience providing advice, writing/ reviewing reports for governing bodies and senior executives.

Have a tertiary degree - in public policy, public administration, economic, management or related discipline would be required, potentially with postgraduate or professional body membership.

Knowledge and strategic understanding of local and central government context, with its trends and legislation is also important. As is the ability to think, speak and write clearly.
