Vine Grow Limited are looking for a Machine Operator to work within the Hawke's Bay Region.

**Job Type - Permanent Full Time Role**

**Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours**

**Roles & Responsibilities-**
- Safely operate and control different kinds of farm equipment using current GPS technology, including trucks, tractors, loaders, and skid steers
- Operate and tend to the equipment used in industrial-scale horticultural operations.
- Ensure that all machinery is operated safely, mechanical check lists are completed.
- Adjust and maintain the equipment within the parameters of its daily operations.
- Confer with management about decisions involving the maintenance and function of agricultural equipment.
- Troubleshoot, service and repair agricultural machinery and report problems and needs to management, noting physical and mechanical issues on a checklist, record meter reading at the beginning of each shift.
- Confer with management and prioritize work requests to ensure machinery is organized and operational when it is needed.

**Requirements and skills**
- Minimum 6 months of experience in agriculture/ horticulture/ orchards is mandatory.
- Ability to handle heavy objects and machinery.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Strong desire to learn and engage in horticulture processes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
