**Job Description**:
We are looking to expand our team of highly qualified Engineer Surveys and have a unique opportunity for an experienced Crane Inspector to join our team in Auckland.

Working for a market leading inspection provider, your role will be predominantly focused on the inspection of land-based cranes and may involve other industrial equipment in the Auckland and surrounding regions.

This is a 40 hour a week role which will require evening/night and weekend work. In return, SGS can offer ongoing professional training, a competitive salary along with excellent overtime rates and other benefits.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES**
- Provide quality inspection services for cranes and other industrial equipment in accordance with the Pressure Equipment, Cranes and Passenger Ropeways Regulations.
- Identify and assist in developing and securing both new business and new business opportunities.
- To produce high quality compliant technical inspection reports in a timely manner.
- To undertake the required training and registrations as necessary to maintain certification and technical competency.
- Be familiar with and compliant to codes, standards, specifications and/or other contractual documents that affect the inspections and certificates issued by the Inspection Body.

**Qualifications**:
**PROFILE**
- Certification Board for Inspection Personnel (CBIP) Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in inspections of mobile cranes and overhead cranes inspections
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work activities i.e. working at height, confined space etc.
- A full valid NZ Driver's Licence or ability to obtain
- Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
