**Key Accountabilities**:
Uses advanced analytical tools, techniques, and methods across complex problems.
Thinks deeply, imaginatively, and identifies emerging and previously unknown issues, threats, and risks.
Develops and implements highly effective information collection across all sources and relevant agencies.
Informs and influences decision makers at all levels by strong verbal and written communication of complex, critical information and assessment.
Coaches and develops peers and junior staff across all technical competencies.
Identifies, establishes, and maintains productive working relationships with internal groups, and external domestic and international entities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements
New Zealand or Australian citizenship, or a permanent New Zealand resident.
Successful applicants must reside in Auckland as this role is based in the Auckland area.
Please note, this role is a Locally Advertised Position (LAV) and is only open to applicants within Tamaki Makaurau Districts.
Some domestic travel may be required.
Hold the NZ Diploma in Intelligence Analysis (NZDIA) or equivalent or able to complete NZDIA modules early in employment.
This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is “to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business”.

Security Clearance Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SPECIAL national security clearance.
The minimum criteria for this level of national security clearance is:
NZ Citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 15 years, or:
A Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 15 years, or
A citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 15 years : Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.
