**About the NDIB**:
An exciting opportunity exists to work within the National Drug Intelligence Bureau (NDIB). The NDIB is a multi-agency workgroup comprised of representatives from the New Zealand Police, New Zealand Customs Service and Manatu Hauora (Ministry of Health). We are hosted by the National Intelligence Centre (NIC) at the Fusion Hub. Our purpose is to understand New Zealand's illicit drug environment and provide strategic intelligence and advice to support the reduction of drug related harm by addressing both ends of the supply and demand spectrum.
**Mo te tunga | About the role**
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and inquisitive Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This role could suit someone new to Intelligence or an experienced analyst wanting to work in a strategic and collaborative environment.
As an NDIB team member you will build knowledge and understanding of international and domestic illicit drug trends and how they may impact New Zealand or New Zealanders.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Proactively identify and analyse emerging or escalating trends in drug related harm and propose appropriate action.
- Produce intelligence products and contribute to the core reporting and deliverables of the unit.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver high standard written reports, and provide clear and concise verbal briefings and presentations to a range of audiences.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with people from a range of backgrounds.
- Display commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Manage competing priorities.
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to the team environment.
- Champion diverse worldviews, different perspectives, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, identifying opportunities to reflect these in intelligence products.

NZ Citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the last **10** years, or:
- A Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last **10** years, or
- A citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries **for the last 10** **years**: Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.
