The Group Innovation and Sustainability team is at the heart of delivering against the Fletcher Building purpose of “Improving the world around us through smart thinking, simply delivered”. The team focuses on the delivery of our sustainability strategy and orchestrates innovation across all aspects of the business; including our sustainability agenda, product development, process improvement, digital customer engagement, and business model innovation. The team works with innovators across the globe to identify technologies that are a good fit for our business and driving tangible impact on our key business priorities.

**About the role**
- As Head of Innovation Engine, your role is to actively manage the Innovation Portfolio, and to help accelerate progress in key innovation focus areas. You’ll work with the business to identify and manage the portfolio of priority programs, both via collaboration with the Innovation Insights function to identify global trends, disruptions and opportunities that are shaping our industry, as well as the identification of bottom-up opportunities through close collaboration with our Business Units. This is a leadership role where you’ll be managing a team of Innovation Managers who drive innovation projects from idea to business case and business plan stage, with a focus on high impact innovation projects. You’ll also work with the business to articulate customer journeys, business models, business cases and plans, and in the delivery of innovation outcomes.

**About You**
- You’ll be tertiary qualified in business, engineering, technology or product development with at least 7 years consulting, project or product management experience in a related field. You will also be able to demonstrate experience researching and delivering cutting edge product initiatives. It goes without saying that you will have strong communication, stakeholder management & leadership skills will be second to none, with a strong sympathy for customers, and understanding of customer journey and business model mapping.
