As the largest dental provider in New Zealand, we are at the heart of every community — offering excellent patient care and supporting our teams with industry-leading training, modern technology, and meaningful career pathways.
**Wellington Oral Surgery** is a specialist oral and maxillofacial practice located in the central city, providing trusted care for patients undergoing procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, biopsies, and IV sedation. We pride ourselves on delivering precise, compassionate care in a calm, clinical setting
We are seeking a **Registered Nurse** to join our surgical team on a **permanent, part-time basis**, with set hours **every second Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm)**, plus **additional casual shifts** to cover leave and staff absences.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to **step into the dental surgical field** and support a team of highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeons. **Your key responsibilities**:
- Monitoring patients during and after surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Supporting infection control and sterilisation standards
- Providing patient education and post-operative instructions
- Flexibly supporting other areas of the practice when needed (e.g. admin or prep)
**Qualifications**
We’re looking for a confident, compassionate nurse who’s comfortable in a fast-paced, clinical environment and is eager to learn something new.
**You will ideally have**:
- Current registration with the **Nursing Council of New Zealand** and a valid APC
- Experience in surgical, perioperative, or theatre settings (preferred)
- Familiarity with scrubbing and circulating duties (advantageous but not essential)
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute to a small, close-knit team
- Excellent attention to detail and a patient-focused approach
- Flexibility to work additional casual shifts as required
