Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.
**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**
We are an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Nurse to join our Advanced Nursing Team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Emergency Department.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day clinical coordination of our Emergency Department and provides some support for the CNM at Whakatāne Hospital.
We are looking for a compassionate leader, problem solver and critical thinker who has:
- Significant experience in a variety of nursing settings
- Proven ability and experience within an Emergency Department
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to support clients, whānau and staff
- A passion for utilising the individual skills and attributes of the team to build on a work environment that fosters collaboration, resilience and excellence in care
- A passion for developing and bringing out the best in others
0.8 FTE position, working 72 hours per fortnight. The role is a permanent part time role and will be based at the Whakatāne Hospital.
If you have excellent problem-solving skills, and are either able to lead nursing teams, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager and you have excellent interpersonal skills while working under pressure, we would like to hear from you, for a detailed understanding of this role, please refer to the position description attached.
This is a designated senior nurse role and evidence of relevant post graduate education or commencement of this and engagement with PDRP preferably at expert level or working towards is required.
