Te Kōtuku ki Te Rangi is a kaupapa Māori mental health and addiction respite service based in West Auckland. We provide a healing and supportive environment for tangata whai i te ora and their whānau during times of distress, grounding our mahi in mātauranga Māori, clinical best practice, and strong community collaboration.

**The Role**

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our clinical response and care delivery. This is a key role within our service - one that blends expert clinical leadership with cultural responsiveness to ensure tangata whai i te ora receive high-quality, holistic, and respectful care.

You’ll guide a multidisciplinary team, influence clinical best practice, and contribute to a service that embraces both clinical excellence and kaupapa Māori values.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver advanced assessments, therapeutic interventions, and recovery-focused care
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to kaimahi and the wider team
- Integrate tikanga Māori into care planning, service design, and practice
- Lead risk assessment, crisis management, and de-escalation strategies
- Collaborate with whānau, Te Whatu Ora, NGOs, and Kaupapa Māori providers
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance, and reporting

**What You’ll Bring**
- Registered Nurse with a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health or addictions (or nearing completion)
- At least 5 years’ experience in mental health and/or addiction services
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support others in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in health
- Skilled in crisis response and confident in clinical risk management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

**Desirable Attributes**
- Experience working in a kaupapa Māori or respite care setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Fluency in or active learning of te reo Māori

**Why Join Us?**
- Be part of a values-driven rōpū grounded in whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, and wairuatanga
- Make a meaningful impact in the lives of whānau and tangata whai i te ora
- Access ongoing cultural training, professional development, and clinical supervision
- Enjoy whānau-friendly hours and a supportive team environment

**Ready to Make a Difference?**

Bring your clinical expertise and cultural insight to Te Kōtuku ki Te Rangi and help shape a future where whānau are supported with dignity, compassion, and mana.

**All applicants must have a valid New Zealand residency or work visa.**
