This key leadership role will see you leading the operations of our Hastings Vegetable Plant. You will be responsible for the short and medium term planning to ensure the delivery of a quality product within specification and budget constraints in the most efficient manner.

This role is an integral part of the Hastings leadership team overseeing the implementation of all plant programs and bringing in strategic vision and the implementation of best practices.

**About the Role**
- Ensure that all quality systems are adhered to throughout the Production Department
- Provide the leadership that the Production Department requires to implement and sustain improvements made through CI events and MDI platform
- Ensure that every employee within the Production Department has a comprehensive Personal Development and Training Plan
- Oversee implementation and sustainment of all the Plant Programmes, Policies and Procedures
- Ensure all aspects of the day to day operation of the plant are compliant with Local body, Legislative and Corporate requirements.
- Evaluate long-term assets through Capital Expenditure

**About You**
- Experience leading, coaching and supporting teams in a complex manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of TDC & TPC and all inputs & impacts that affect direct & indirect (Overheads) costs
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience leading, coaching and supporting teams in a complex manufacturing / factory environment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with a range of stakeholders
- Be able to lead the safety culture within a team
