**Mō tēnei mahi | About this job**

To lead and ensure quality assurance for Literacy, Language, and Numeracy (LLN) practice across the Takiwā, contributing to the advancement of organizational objectives, empowering staff, and growing LLN capability in alignment with the values of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (TWoA).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Leadership**: Lead quality LLN practice that aligns with organizational objectives and values.
- ** Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate risks in LLN practice and procedures.
- ** Quality Assurance**: Provide LLN advice and support to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with best practices and policies.
- ** Capability Building**: Develop and deliver LLN workshops and training, and provide coaching on embedding LLN practices.
- ** Tool Development**: Create tools to support LLN development and analyze data to identify training needs.
- ** Observations**: Conduct observations of LLN embedded practice as required.
- ** Relationship Management**: Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and attend relevant forums and working groups.
- ** Reporting**: Develop and disseminate LLN reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- ** Strategy Implementation**: Contribute to the development and implementation of the LLN strategy.
- ** NCALNE Qualification**: Deliver workshops and provide follow-up support for the NCALNE qualification.
- ** Support Organizational Objectives**: Help TWoA meet its strategic objectives related to the Literacy and Numeracy for Adults Assessment Tool (LNAAT).

**Mōu | About you**

We are looking for someone who has:
**Qualifications**:

- Post-graduate qualification in an LLN-related field.
- Qualification at Level 7 on the NZ Qualifications Framework.
- Tertiary teaching qualification, such as the New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5).

**Experience**:

- Experience in LLN development.
- Proven expertise in LLN-related areas.
- Experience in conducting research and presenting findings.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Understanding of current NZQA and TEC requirements.
- Knowledge of best practice LLN principles related to learning, curriculum, and assessment.
- Ability to provide advice and leadership in LLN practice at the organizational level.
- Experience in building LLN capability in a tertiary education setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project planning and reporting abilities.
- Proven relationship management, networking, and customer service skills.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
