**About the Role**
As a Consultant, you’ll play a vital role in the care and management of critically ill and injured patients referred to the Department of Intensive Care. This is a dynamic and varied role, where your day could include caring for tertiary trauma, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, spinal, paediatric, and general medical or surgical patients.
You’ll also contribute to our Deteriorating Patient Outreach Service and participate in the Air Retrieval Service, offering support across the South Island. You’ll have the opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art, 48-bed ICU facility, currently operating 24 beds across two ICU pods.
This is a rewarding opportunity for both newly qualified Specialists seeking to broaden their scope and experienced Intensivists ready for a new challenge within a diverse and complex clinical environment.
