We are always looking for amazing people to join our teams as Activities Coordinators or Activity Assistants, who possess a creative flair. You love working with the elderly and you are passionate about bringing happiness to their lives through fun activities. The homes and villages you will support at our Wellington facilities are:

- Crofton Downs - 49 beds
- Fergusson - 112 beds + 91 unit retirement village
- Harbourview - 58 beds
- Stokeswood - 87 beds
- Whitby - 100 beds
- Winara, Waikanae - 86 beds + 45 unit retirement village

**Your Role**:
You will lead, design, and facilitate leisure activities based on the resident interests, preferences and abilities. You will also provide leadership to the team of activities staff and promote a positive team approach within the care home.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Co-ordinate and implement a programme of group and individual activities.
- Review and assess residents’ individual activities programme
- Plan activities relevant to the individual needs, abilities and interests of residents in the Care Home.
- Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity and cultural sensitivity.
- Develop and maintain excellent communication networks, both internally and externally, to support the activities programme.

**About you**
- An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within aged care is desirable
- Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
- A fun personality with a creative flair
