Help the Aquaculture Policy team support the growth of New Zealand's aquaculture sector in a productive, sustainable, resilient and inclusive way

The Aquaculture Policy team is looking for a Senior/Policy Analyst. We're a tight-knit team based in the Wellington CBD that are working hard to help support one of New Zealand's most exciting growth industries. The kinds of questions you might grapple with include:

- How can we encourage the growth of New Zealand's aquaculture industry, in line with aspirations set out in the Government's Aquaculture Strategy?
- How can we influence policy outcomes to support the growth of the aquaculture sector and deliver on the Government's wider policy objectives, including the Oceans and Fisheries portfolio vision and objectives?

**We are seeking a smart and enthusiastic person who**:

- Enjoys working with others, both in a team and meeting and developing relationships with external stakeholders.
- Can write well, providing clear, concise, well-reasoned, articulate and practical advice to Ministers.
- Can see the ‘big picture', taking a broad perspective and making connections between commercial, environmental, and social issues.
- Can organise themselves to deliver work and projects to a high standard on-time.
- Has knowledge or a strong interest in New Zealand's primary sectors and their future.
- Have experience in either a policy/regulatory role or a commercial/business role.
- Can bring a te Ao Māori perspective to the role
