**The Role**:
This role will work closely with our clients, business unit leader, project managers and senior engineers to ensure delivery of profitable water/transportation projects to client’s expectations.

You will be responsible for undertaking design of transportation or water infrastructure for public and private sector and internal clients. Assisting project staff and the wider project team with the day to day running of projects, responding to technical issues and queries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring engineering activities are performed in accordance with the project requirements and Calibre’s technical standards.
- Understanding tasks, deliverables and timescales with allocated resources.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all projects.
- Identify training gaps and facilitate training courses where applicable.
- Actively promote and continuously communicate on the best engineering practices both in the project, the broader business and the marketplace.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in engineering or design technology
- 3-5 years transportation or water experience ideally from a consulting background with Local Authority knowledge
- Good understanding of the transportation/water sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Have design experience in either or all: transportation / traffic design, water infrastructure/design, cost estimation, computer design packages, working as part of a team and construction management
