Our client is a significant player in the heavy civil and structures business and a leader in the construction of New Zealand infrastructure. The business provides a range of products and services to complement its core offering such as subdivisions, roading, bituminous surfacing, bridges, marina and wharf building, parks and reserves, and water and drainage solutions.

We're looking for a commercially savvy, collaborative people-person with a real desire to be involved in major civil construction projects. To be successful you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, exceptional planning and organisational skills, as well as civil engineering acumen, analytical skills and a professional approach is essential to the success of this role.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Deliver quality civil infrastructure projects within, time and budget parameters, and to the client's satisfaction
- Providing specialised technical advice as appropriate
- Development and maintenance of sustainable internal and external delivery teams
- Promulgation of best practice in project delivery, people leadership, H&S and quality assurance
- Promotion of innovation and delivery efficiencies

**About you**:

- Civil Engineering tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability lead a team
- Strong financial acumen
- At least 5 years' experience in managing civil infrastructure projects
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Experience of managing multiple sites
