We are at the start of our delivery of the Southern Positioning Augmentation Network (SouthPAN) project, which will improve the accuracy and integrity of positioning systems in Australasia (such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS)). SouthPAN is an exciting long-term project, which will bring widespread benefits for many industries and improve safety and efficiency in aviation, maritime and road transport sectors.
Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand will deliver SouthPAN in partnership with our Australian counterparts at Geoscience Australia.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The role will join our enterprise-wide Customer Engagement team and work functionally with the SouthPAN project team.
This position will be an integral part of Toitū Te Whenua LINZ's focus on the customer and will encourage user uptake of SouthPAN services and be engaged with the key stakeholders for its service delivery.
- You will be engaging with known and emerging users of SouthPAN services,
- Identifying and mapping the stakeholder groups of industry bodies and associations, companies, and government agencies,
- You will work closely with the team implementing SouthPAN and ensure alignment of engagement activities with our counterparts at Geoscience Australia.

- Identifying, mapping, and developing relationships with stakeholders,
- Engaging with key customers to build and preserve relationships, so that we understand their perspectives and the impact of uptake of SouthPAN services,
- Identifying opportunities to encourage uptake of SouthPAN services,
- Supporting comprehensive, planned, and monitored customer engagement occurring with external communities and internal teams, including the development of user case studies and benefit monitoring,
- Improving Toitū Te Whenua LINZ's overall engagement with our customers and ensuring we take consistent and clear messages to them.
- Strong relationship management skills, with a customer focus,
- Experience in partnering and influencing across business groups,
- Excellent communication skills, and experience understanding and effectively communicating technical information,
- Ideally experience in, and a strong understanding of, government and strategic business needs,
- Experience as a trusted advisor, finding your own solutions, and providing an evidence base for any recommendations offered

The annual salary range for this role is $95,846 - $129,674
