**Moonlite Limited **is looking for a dependable and flexible **Brush Hand** to join our team. We specialize in interior and exterior residential and commercial painting and service all of Auckland. You will provide ongoing support to our painters who provide Commercial & Residential painting needs to our customers in Auckland. Our Brush Hand will be responsible for assisting the painter in his duties as stated below.
This is full-time, permanent employment with a minimum of 30 hours a week and an hourly rate of NZ$29.70/hour. As part of your work, you will be responsible for working within Auckland.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist Painter in cleaning equipment & work areas.
- Assist Painter in matching patterns when require.
- Assistant Painter in the selection of colors by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.
- Assistant Painter in preparing colors by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives.
- Assist Painter in preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering.
**Requirements and Qualifications**:
- Friendly, Passionate, People-Person
- Someone that has a proactive approach to completing the work given.
- Be a physically fit, hardworking, and reliable person with great attention to detail.
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own (unsupervised)
- Available to work on weekends, and public holidays.
- Able to start early and finish late shifts when required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
- Experience in a similar environment is an added advantage but not essential. Complete training will be provided.
